Gloster Gladiator History:

Developed in the 1930s as the ultimate evolution of biplane fighters, the Gladiator represented the culmination of this technology with retractable landing gear, enclosed cockpit and armament of four machine guns. Although overtaken by modern monoplanes like Hurricane and Spitfire, it distinguished itself in various operational theaters, from the Battle of Britain to the Mediterranean, demonstrating the skill of its pilots more than its performance.
